Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a Pediatric Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children in their homes, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to children in their homes, including administering medications, wound care, and other medical treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Current Texas State license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
  • Reliable transportation and proof of current and valid auto liability insurance.
  • Ability to lift patients when applicable.
  • IV Infusion and PICC Line experience, a plus.
