Rigger Job Description

Job Summary: LaborOne Staffing is seeking a skilled Rigger to join our team for a long-term project. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for setting up and repairing rigging equipment for the movement of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and Prepare Loads: Inspect loads to be moved and prepare them for transportation, ensuring they are secure and properly rigged.
  • Set Up and Align Heavy Equipment: Set up and align heavy equipment machinery, ensuring it is properly positioned and secured.
  • Select and Prepare Rigging Gear: Select the appropriate rigging gear for each job, preparing it for use and ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Inspect and Maintain Rigging Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain rigging equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Operate Heavy Equipment Machinery: Operate heavy equipment machinery, such as cranes and hoists, to move loads and set up rigging equipment.
  • Communicate with Team Members: Communicate effectively with team members, including rigging and construction teams, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure Compliance with Safety Regulations: Ensure compliance with state and company safety procedures, including OSHA regulations.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Rigger.
  • Certifications: Minimum Level 1 NCCCO certification.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery, excellent spatial awareness, and good communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and lift heavy equipment.
