Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Rigger - Rigging Specialist to join our team at EMCOR Group. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, lifting, and placing equipment and materials according to blueprint, design, or client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute rigging operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
• Conduct thorough inspections of rigging equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to coordinate rigging operations.
• Calculate estimated load weights and check load charts to prevent overloading of lifting equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and other documents to ensure accurate placement of materials and equipment.
• Locate lift points and jack points for loads to be moved or lifted.
• Select and attach slings, hooks, wires, cables, ropes, blocks, and other rigging equipment as needed.
• Perform hand and verbal crane signals to crane operators.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in rigging or a related field preferred.
• Pass company pre-employment physical and substance abuse requirements.
• Pass job-related physical fitness test (PFT) and mask fit testing requirements.
• Work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment, wearing required personal protective equipment.
• Perform shop math and have knowledge of geometry.
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and structures; tolerate and work in enclosed areas and high elevations.
• Stoop, bend, walk, crawl, or crouch as needed; handle, reach for, and manipulate objects, components, and materials.
• Carry or lift objects and materials up to 50 pounds.
