We are seeking a skilled Nurse Manager Outpatient to lead our team in providing exceptional patient care and services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring nursing and support staff, determining staffing levels and assignments, and evaluating the effectiveness of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care and services.
- Determine staffing levels and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, and patient acuity.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
- Respond to complaints about patient care and related services, and manage through established channels.
- Perform role-specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers.
- Ensure staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.
- Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
- Minimum Experience: 1 year nursing experience. Per UEXCEL Bylaws, must promote to Charge Nurse Outpatient III within 3 years of promotion to Charge Nurse Outpatient.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
