Job Summary

The HR Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the HR needs of our team members at Nucor Steel Tuscaloosa, Inc. This position requires maintaining confidentiality and integrity of HR and payroll data while providing excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include coordinating onboarding for new hires, benefits enrollment and changes, executing division payroll and other HR activities, and maintaining personnel/benefits files. Additionally, this role involves reporting weekly state and federal taxes, periodic division and corporate reporting, and administering benefits such as FMLA, LTD, Life Insurance, and Military leave. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing company-sponsored programs and projects, such as scholarships and education reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires and benefits enrollment
  • Execute division payroll and other HR activities
  • Maintain personnel/benefits files and report weekly state and federal taxes
  • Administer benefits and manage company-sponsored programs

Requirements
  • Two years of benefits and payroll processing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business, or related field
  • SAP payroll, MS Office, and HR related systems experience
  • PHR or SHRM certification
