Position Details:
This is an on-site role with various shifts available for both full-time and part-time positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process emergency communication, assessing the nature of incidents based on established protocols.
  • Dispatch appropriate emergency response teams according to the information provided during calls.
  • Maintain continuous communication with emergency scenes, coordinating with fire, police, and other relevant agencies until incidents are resolved.
  • Utilize independent judgment to prioritize multiple emergency and non-emergency calls effectively.
  • Monitor various emergency communication channels, including police and fire frequencies.
  • Provide updates and information to senior officials as required, ensuring accurate tracking of actions taken.
  • Collaborate with military and civilian agencies to respond to requests for assistance, adhering to local protocols.
  • Conduct routine tests of communication equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Keep a detailed log of significant events and activities within the dispatch center, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all entries.
  • Maintain and utilize maps, checklists, and other resources to support emergency operations.
  • Operate and manage communication devices, ensuring effective coordination during emergencies.
  • Document and relay messages accurately, operating the hospital's alarm systems as necessary.
  • Compile reports and maintain records related to emergency responses, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
  • Provide statistical data to supervisors, verifying and entering emergency response information into local reporting systems.

Work Shifts: Available shifts include 1st Shift - 6AM-2PM, 2nd Shift - 2PM-10PM, and 3rd Shift - 10PM-6AM.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in emergency dispatch, public safety, or related fields.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in standard computer operations and typing skills.
  • Familiarity with logging and documentation procedures.
  • Knowledge of emergency medical protocols to relay accurate information.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess information quickly in emergencies.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for interaction with diverse individuals.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Physical capability to perform office tasks, including lifting and mobility requirements.
