Assistant Professor of Special Education

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Professor of Special Education to join our team at the University of North Texas System. As a key member of our Department of Educational Psychology, you will contribute to the continued growth and success of our special education program through research, teaching, and mentoring of students.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in traditional and online formats, potentially at satellite locations.
- Develop or continue an ongoing scholarship agenda in an area of specialization, including regular publications in quality outlets, professional presentations, and submission of external grant proposals.
- Participate in dissertation committees, committee participation, and other relevant service activities in the department and profession.
- Ph.D. in Special Education or a closely related field with a history of scholarly publications.
- Preference given to candidates with a record of research in low-incidence disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and sensory impairments.
- Strong research agenda focused on enhancing the quality of life, communication, academic, and/or functional outcomes for individuals with these disabilities.
