Mathematics Educator Role

The Schenectady City School District is seeking a mathematics educator to teach math to students in grades 7-12. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mathematics and be able to create engaging lesson plans that promote student learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Next Generation and Common Core Standards in Mathematics.
  • Use technology, including GSuite and smartboards, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in mathematics education.

Requirements

  • NYS secondary math certification grades 7-12.
  • Experience teaching children grades 7-12 is preferred.
