Job Overview

Position: Patient Services Coordinator

The Patient Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing patient appointments and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday hours. The role may require travel to various locations as necessary. Compensation for this position is set at $18.00 per hour, along with Travel Reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls and inquiries efficiently, adhering to departmental standards.
  • Register and organize patient appointments for primary care services.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to patient needs with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Conduct insurance verification during the registration and scheduling process.
  • Maintain accuracy in data entry across multiple systems.
  • Update and manage patient demographic and insurance records as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in database management and familiarity with Windows operating systems is essential.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.
  • 1-5 years of experience in roles such as healthcare call center representative, patient access representative, or medical receptionist is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy is required.
  • A commitment to the organization's mission and values is essential for effective teamwork and patient interactions.

Supervisory Role:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Certifications:

All employees must provide proof of vaccination or an exemption.

Compensation:

Hourly wage is set at $18.00, plus Travel Reimbursement.
