Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Automation Specialist to join our team at Hager Companies. This is a critical role that requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex industrial equipment, including PLC-driven machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC-driven equipment, including motor control systems and sensing and gauging systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including motor control circuits and electrical components.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical components of machines and equipment.
  • Plan and implement layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machinery, equipment, and building.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery, including cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts.
  • Track, record, and document asset time usage and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general equivalent degree (GED) and specialized training in PLCs or equivalent work experience.
  • Five or more years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to read and understand repair manuals, wiring diagrams, machine diagrams, and other resource materials.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including welding, electrical systems, electrical components, and electrical controls.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently use tools and other equipment to accomplish tasks.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, sitting, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing. The employee is required to lift over 60 pounds occasionally and/or 25 to 60 pounds frequently and/or 5 to 25 pounds continuously from floor to waist in an awkward position and move a distance of 1 or 2 feet.
