Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and Organizing
- Developing clear, concise methodology documents
- Reviewing and assisting in development of project plans, project workflows, and resource assignments
- Facilitating the definition of functional requirements
- Translating and presenting project concepts into effective visual images
- Ensuring methodology is followed for project
- Maintaining issue log and coordinating communications
- Identifying, mediating, resolving, and eliminating miscommunications
- Conducting user training
- Participating in development of test strategy, test plans, and test cases
- Translating system workflows into system configuration
- Participating in test execution and documenting results
- Providing coaching and training to more junior Systems Business Analysts
Qualifications include:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent job experience
- 5+ years of experience writing technical specifications
- Skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Full understanding of the business model or the area(s) supported
- Knowledge of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
- Ability to create presentations using software such as Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to use standard desktop tools effectively
- Ability to analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
- Exposure to project work and project planning, as well as project management software
- Interviewing skills
- Written and oral communications skills
