About Us:

The Highland Dallas, Curio is a luxury hotel that offers a unique blend of upscale amenities and unstuffy ambiance. Our goal is to provide exceptional service to our guests, exceeding their expectations at every turn. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Valet Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
  • Valet Parking: Park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely and courteous manner, using claim tickets to document vehicle damage and arrival/departure dates.
  • Luggage Handling: Read luggage tags, use guest names, and utilize claim tickets to ensure accurate delivery and storage of luggage and packages.
  • Rooming Process: Perform check-in and check-out calls, including luggage handling and escorting guests to/from their rooms.
  • Taxis/Transportation: Hail taxis as needed and assist guests with transportation needs.
  • Guest Van Transportation: Perform pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport and other locations in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of guest service areas, including the lobby entrance, valet parking area, and luggage storage areas.
  • Organization: Maintain an organized and clean appearance in all work areas.
  • Deliveries: Deliver messages, valet/laundry, and other items to guest rooms.
  • Daily Event Board: Post daily events in the lobby location.
  • Knowledge of Area/Hotel Events: Respond to guest questions and provide information on local attractions, events, and daily activities in the hotel.
  • Groups/VIP Guests: Greet groups and VIP guests by name, thanking them for their patronage.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with all shifts through the use of an inter-shift log.
  • Emergency Procedures: Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, including guest-related responsibilities and evacuation procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Hotel Experience: Preferred.
  • Professional Appearance and Manner: Must maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with guests, respond to questions, and provide directions to nearby local attractions, area events, and activities.
  • Driving Skills: Ability to drive vans, trucks, and automobiles, both manual and automatic transmissions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to Grasp, Lift, and/or Carry: Ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes, and luggage with sufficient manual dexterity in both hands to be able to load and unload luggage up to 75 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
