Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Medical Care Specialist to join our team in this exciting opportunity.

As a Medical Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to our patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

You will be responsible for setting up, testing, and operating hemodialysis machines, as well as obtaining and documenting necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient.

Our ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
  2. Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
  3. Obtain and document necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient.
  4. Evaluate vascular access pre-treatment and perform vascular access cannulation.
  5. Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed.
  6. Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy.
  7. Evaluate patient prior to termination of venous access and discontinues dialysis treatment according to established procedures.
  8. Reports any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to supervisor.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $62,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility (preferred).
  • CPR certification.
