Role Summary:
As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen. Your responsibilities will include training and guiding kitchen personnel, managing inventory and supplies, and ensuring that food preparation aligns with the standards set by the Executive Chef.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a dedicated team in executing daily kitchen operations.
- Implement well-defined tasks that require moderate oversight and evaluation.
- Support the Executive Chef in achieving financial targets and culinary excellence.
- Ensure all kitchen staff are well-versed in dish specifications and preparation techniques.
- Manage food ordering to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Prepare meals in accordance with anticipated sales volumes.
- Monitor stock levels and enforce proper rotation in storage areas.
- Set a positive example for the team through leadership and work ethic.
- Address disciplinary matters in collaboration with the Executive Chef and General Manager.
- Facilitate effective communication through team meetings and training sessions.
- Inspire the team with a shared vision of success.
- Conduct regular quality checks on food items being prepared and served.
- Ensure timely presentation of dishes in the correct order.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations in food preparation and storage.
- Maintain adequate supplies for seamless meal service.
- Foster a respectful and enjoyable work environment.
- Embrace a positive attitude and contribute to a fun atmosphere for guests and staff alike.
- Promote a favorable image of the company at all times.
Qualifications:
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of three years in a culinary role with supervisory experience or relevant culinary education.
- ServSafe certification is required.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining kitchen equipment.
- Capable of managing a team while effectively delegating tasks.
- Adept at navigating challenging situations and conversations.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess valid U.S. Work Authorization.
