Logistics Material Handler

Position: Logistics Material Handler (Forklift Certified)
Location: Hercules, CA (Local candidates preferred)
Compensation: $23 per hour (Weekly pay + Benefits + Overtime)
Contract Duration: 6 months (Potential for extension or permanent placement)
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday with two available shifts (8am - 4:30pm or 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 6am - 2:30pm Friday)

We are currently seeking a Logistics Material Handler (Forklift Certified) to enhance our team. This role involves multitasking and transitioning between various processes while ensuring a well-organized workspace and adherence to GMP warehouse standards. Responsibilities include supporting warehouse operations and production departments, assisting colleagues with both systematic and non-systematic tasks, and operating equipment safely under tight constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attendance: Arrive at work punctually as scheduled.
- Collaboration: Maintain a positive attitude and work effectively with peers to foster a professional environment.
- Physical Tasks: Engage in routine physical activities, including upkeep, organization, and cleanliness within the warehouse. Proficiency in computer skills is essential for various processes.
- SAP Operations: Execute material movements, process order picking, and staging for production. Manage stock transfer orders and ensure accurate picking and packing of materials for transport.
- Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counting, process scrap materials, and handle other functional SAP and warehouse processes.
- Material Handling: Perform material movements in accordance with SAP guidelines, ensuring alignment between physical and system quantities.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate reach truck forklifts, stackers, or similar powered equipment.
- Work Area Maintenance: Uphold cleanliness in the work area and execute daily cleaning and compliance tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Strong reading and writing skills in English.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, production, or manufacturing settings.
- Forklift certification is mandatory.
- Experience in material handling, order processing, and picking.
- Intermediate math and computer skills are necessary.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP or similar.
- Experience in cycle counting and material handling.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other relevant equipment.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment while standing for extended periods (6 to 10 hours).
- Physical ability to lift at least 45 lbs and utilize equipment for heavier materials.
- Steel-toe shoes are required.
- Successful completion of drug screening and background checks is necessary.
- A clean driving record is required for forklift operation.
