About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team at Damar Services. As an ABA Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to individuals with ASD, utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to promote positive behavior change and skill acquisition.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, including the Intensive Autism Manager, Intensive Autism Supervisor, and Director of Autism Services, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to drive treatment outcomes and achieve agency initiatives and goals.
  • Ensure that the agency meets its quality improvement, evaluation, and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices in ABA and autism treatment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) within 60 days of initial hire.
  • ABA therapy experience and/or experience working with children with autism is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to use an iPad and computer.
  • Minimum age of 21 depending on program and/or department requirements.
  • No felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
  • Must complete Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training and take the exam within 60 days of starting the 40-hour RBT training.
  • Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) within 6 months of initial hire.
  • Must have or be able to obtain Therapeutic Crises Intervention (TCI) Certification.
  • Must have or be able to obtain CPR Certification.
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
  • Valid Indiana drivers license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical required.
Working Conditions

The primary functions of this role require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
