Job Title: Investment Portfolio Specialist

This is a job for a skilled Investment Portfolio Specialist with Hancock Bank, located in New Orleans, LA.

Job Function:

As a member of the Fixed Income Strategy Group (FISG), you will be responsible for managing proprietary fixed income portfolio strategies for Wealth Management clients. You will work directly with FISG portfolio managers and traders to invest client fixed income accounts according to firm strategies, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining a critical database of model fixed income strategies, client holdings, and portfolio characteristics using Microsoft Excel.
  • Work with fixed income credit analysis team to assist in generating, updating, and organizing firm credit research data.
  • Develop a basic knowledge of and utilize investment software systems such as BondEdge, Bloomberg, and Envestnet to support portfolio analysis.
  • Provide data to various LOB's for client retention and new business development.
  • Work directly with Trust Compliance and Portfolio Managers to monitor and correct account exceptions.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or other related field preferred.
  • 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and problem solve.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of and exposure to the investment industry and investment concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Power Point, and Office.
