Job Summary

At HALO Precision Diagnostics, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Navigator to join our team. As a Patient Navigator, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience to a diverse patient population in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Genetic Education and Counseling: Provide genetics education to high-risk patients and their families, ensuring they understand their risk factors and options for genetic testing.
  • Registration and Scheduling: Register patients for genetic testing and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Specimen Collection: Collect specimens for genetic testing and ensure they are properly handled and stored.
  • Liaison Services: Serve as a liaison between patients, radiologists, pathologists, and referring physicians to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Insurance Verification and Authorization: Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for genetic testing and treatment.
  • Patient Support and Education: Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families throughout the genetic testing and treatment process.
  • Result Distribution: Distribute positive genetic test results to referring physicians and ensure they are properly documented in the patient's medical record.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year of medical office experience in imaging, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
