Job Summary:

As a Broadcast Assistant Pool Posting, you will serve as on-air talent while operating various radio broadcasting equipment, including control boards, playback devices, and computers to access daily programming logs and other documents needed for on-air work. You will gather weather, news, programming information, and read on-air announcements, as well as access public service announcements. Additionally, you will assist in setting up and operating sound reinforcement, recording, and broadcast equipment for events, such as RadioLive and Webcasts, and other duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate radio broadcasting equipment, including control boards and playback devices
  • Access daily programming logs and other documents needed for on-air work
  • Gather weather, news, programming information, and read on-air announcements
  • Access public service announcements
  • Assist in setting up and operating sound reinforcement, recording, and broadcast equipment for events
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Pleasant speaking voice with good articulation abilities
  • Familiarity with audio and broadcasting equipment
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to take direction and incorporate suggestions regarding on-air presentation
  • Ability to multitask

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires a criminal background screen
