As a System Validation Engineer within the DRAM Engineering Group, you will play a crucial role in the early validation of our DRAM products, ensuring compatibility with cutting-edge customer technologies. Your responsibilities will encompass system-level failure analysis, product characterization, and qualification processes.

Your tasks will include running and configuring diagnostic software, designing experiments, analyzing data, troubleshooting failures, developing custom tools, and effectively communicating findings to both internal teams and external clients.

Utilizing a variety of instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters, you will collaborate with specialists in the Systems Compatibility Group and engage with cross-functional teams, including Application Engineering, Product Engineering, and Return Material Authorization (RMA).

Occasional travel may be required to fulfill responsibilities at customer sites or during collaborative development with partner organizations. The level of seniority for this position will be determined based on your experience and educational background.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead product qualifications in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop validation strategies for both new and existing technologies, including system test methodologies and memory diagnostic tools.
  • Design and implement automation for system-level testing.
  • Conduct computer and system characterization and failure analysis.
  • Collaborate with system enablers beyond Micron.
Qualifications:
  • Understanding of hardware platforms: X86, ARM, Computer Systems, DRAM, Intel, AMD.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment: Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, motherboard.
  • Proficiency in software: Python, Linux, SQL, C#, Golang.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Role level will depend on candidate skills and experience.
Distinguishing Attributes:
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and/or DRAM operations.
  • Self-driven and diligent.
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on process and product improvement.
