Lamp Rynearson, Inc., a well-established firm specializing in civil engineering, surveying, planning, landscape architecture, and consulting, is on the lookout for a talented individual to assume the role of Aviation Project Leadership Manager within our Transportation Group.
In this pivotal position, you will be instrumental in fostering business expansion by nurturing existing client relationships and cultivating new projects. Your extensive knowledge of the aviation sector, coupled with expertise in planning and grant applications, will be essential in addressing client needs and overcoming their challenges.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, aviation management, or transportation planning from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation sector is required; Registered Professional Engineer licensure is advantageous.
- Familiarity with planning processes, grant applications, and FAA regulations, including the FAA Advisory Circulars and Airport Improvement Program Handbook. Design and specifications experience is a plus.
- Proven track record in the development of new clients and projects within the aviation industry.
- Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to define issues, explore alternative solutions, and present recommendations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks and projects effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Play a vital role in driving business growth by leveraging existing relationships and developing new clients and projects in the aviation sector.
- Develop comprehensive Aviation Airport Master Plans and ALPs in collaboration with the Group Leader.
- Assist in creating accurate construction cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contract documents as necessary.
- Travel may be required to meet with clients, encompassing various regions with potential overnight stays.
- Collaborate with project design teams on reports, specifications, permit applications, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with the Project Construction Engineer throughout the design, bidding, and construction phases.
- Support the Construction Administration Department in negotiating and preparing significant change orders.
- Participate in public presentations and educational sessions.
- Aid in project planning and scheduling alongside the Group Leader.
- Assist in monitoring project timelines to ensure deadlines are met in conjunction with the Group Leader.
