About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Kona Ice Driver. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating our mobile shaved ice trucks, and interacting with event coordinators and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Serving Customers: Greet and serve customers with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a smile while taking orders with speed and accuracy.
  • Safe Driving: Safely and appropriately drive a Kona Ice truck to and from events from the base of operation.
  • Sanitation and Food Safety: Closely follow sanitation and food safety procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers.
  • Prepping and Cleaning: Complete beginning and end-of-shift prepping, stocking, cleaning of truck and base of operation, and event tracking duties.
  • Additional Tasks: Carry out other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and a minimum of 2 years of experience driving with a good driving record.
  • Reliable Transportation: Have reliable transportation to the base of operation to pick up the Kona truck for events.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift 35 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform other physical demands of the job.
  • Communication Skills: Have good communication skills and be able to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Teamwork: Be a team-oriented, adaptable, punctual, honest, trustworthy, and dependable individual.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer Service Experience: Have experience in customer service, preferably in a food service or concessions environment.
  • Food Service Experience: Have experience in food service, preferably in a mobile or concession environment.
  • Driving Experience: Have experience driving a bus and/or large-oversized vehicle.
Financial Responsibility

As a member of the Kona Ice community, this position is expected to be fiscally responsible in all financial transactions with customers. This position is also responsible for following the policies governing the use of company-owned equipment, including the ability to handle cash, make change accurately, and operate Square point of sale for card payments.
