Job Summary

Charlie's Produce is seeking a highly skilled Class A Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering fresh produce to our customers in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Meet with dispatcher for route and product information (manifest) for daily deliveries
  • Complete visual and hands-on inspection of delivery vehicle (Tractor/Trailer)
  • Check vehicle oil and water levels, tires, blinkers, leaf springs, horn, headlights, and flashers for proper operation. Load hand truck and/or pallet jack in truck
  • Notify dispatcher of departure time and first stop
  • Drive to customer location, either a retail location or general food service
  • Back into loading dock or pull into loading zone
  • Check in with customer and receive instructions on where to drop product
  • Unload pallets of product and transport using electric pallet jack to customer desired location
  • If requested, driver will down stack product from pallet
  • Use hand truck to move individual boxes at certain stops
  • Receive signature on invoice
  • Load pallet jack back on truck with empty pallets
  • Load returns on truck
  • Drive to next stop and repeat
  • At end of shift, return paperwork to dispatcher
  • Off-load pallets and pallet jack. Unhook trailer at dock, and drive tractor to parking area for semi-tractors. Install and remove tire chains as needed
  • Flexibility to work nights and do dark drops may be required
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • One year verifiable driving experience with a Class A, AK Driver's License
  • Delivery experience preferred
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Clean Criminal Record
  • Current Medical Card
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to push/pull/lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly

Additional Compensation Details

Salary Information Dependent on Experience and Location of Role

Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure

We are a year-round, full-time employer. Currently, we are hiring for all shifts, including a night driving shift for dark drops.
