POSITION SUMMARY:

Your responsibilities will include consolidating merchandise, restocking inventory locations, and transporting goods using manual handling, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
Fastenal is dedicated to fostering a sustainable and safe workplace for all employees, integrating environmental health and safety considerations into our operational practices.

This role is an entry-level opportunity based in our distribution center. A flexible schedule may be available following a successful onboarding and training period.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main duties of this position encompass, but are not limited to:
o Utilizing computer systems, RF scanners, and printers for product labeling
o Consolidating merchandise
o Restocking inventory locations
o Transporting goods throughout the distribution center
o Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the workspace
o Adhering to health, safety, and sustainability protocols
o Engaging in initiatives that support the company's health, safety, and sustainability goals
o Completing and applying various environmental health and safety training programs

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are necessary for this position:
o Strong written and verbal communication abilities
o Competency in computer applications
o Highly driven, self-motivated, and customer-focused
o Excellent mathematical skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency
o Ability to learn and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
o Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
o Openness to a flexible schedule and additional hours as required
o Commitment to our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
o Ability to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages weighing between 25lbs-50lbs, with potential weights up to 100lbs
o Successful completion of the required drug screening (applicable in specific regions)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o Previous experience in operating a forklift
