As a key member of the team at Tanner Medical Center, the Referral and Front Office Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the seamless management of practice referrals and ensuring efficient surgery scheduling. This role plays a vital part in enhancing patient experience through effective communication and organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the processing of incoming and outgoing referrals to ensure timely and accurate handling.
2. Oversee all aspects of surgery scheduling, ensuring that prepayment plans are communicated clearly to patients.
3. Maintain a high level of organization in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
4. Utilize computer systems proficiently, including Microsoft Office and medical record software, to enhance operational efficiency.
5. Communicate positively and thoroughly with team members and elevate issues to leadership when necessary.
6. Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate effective patient de-escalation techniques.
7. Mentor and guide team members in delivering outstanding customer service.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Preferred: Medical Assistant Certification.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
