Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Plant Office Coordinator to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our office staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the office in a neat and professional manner, answering phones, and handling office duties and projects as requested.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion Safety: Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  • Maintain Cash Fund: Maintain cash fund accurately and report any discrepancies. Handle cash sales by collecting cash, checks, or credit card transactions.
  • Maintain Office: Maintain the office in a neat and professional manner. Answer phones and handle office duties and projects as requested.
  • Prepare and Operate Scales: Prepare scales for daily use. Work with Plant Admin Support Supervisors to troubleshoot and repair issues. Operate the truck scales and generate correct tickets for the customers.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Greet customers in a professional and polite manner. Communicate clearly with customers to bill transactions correctly. Listen to customer issues and complaints and work to resolve them through communication with the sales/dispatch department.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a customer service role preferred.
  • Experience in an aggregate setting preferred.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational skills with a focus on the prioritization of workload.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, dependable, timely, and reliable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Oracle Business Environment, and other software packages relevant to the position.
