Job Description

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking a highly skilled Installation Adjustment Technician to join our team. As a key member of the Site Project Management Team, you will be responsible for installing company equipment at customers' facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of electrical diagnostic instruments and shop/hand tools, as well as the ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints. You will work independently with minimum supervision, performing routine installations and/or maintenance on assigned products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Following all corporate safety protocols and reporting unsafe conditions
  • Performing routine installations and/or maintenance on assigned products
  • Using supplied corporate processes to locate software revisions and appropriate documentation
  • Verifying software status and evaluating appropriate information for log analysis
  • Installing software with minimum supervision, using the provided installation procedures and release notes
  • Performing log analysis of system errors to determine hardware or software issue
  • Providing on the job training to customer technicians and internal technicians in routine operation, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of assigned products
  • Writing and editing technical procedures within scope of responsibility and capability
  • Effectively troubleshooting issues for both hardware and software
  • Professionally interacting with, and understanding technical information from internal team. Professionally interacting with multi-national and multi-language teams
  • Serving as a company liaison between customer and company engineering for installation operations
  • Preparing and submitting all necessary paperwork and Status Reporting with supervision. Complete Daily Log Installation Reports
  • Traveling on short notice, as well as extended travel time (Domestic & International)
  • Inputting data to various computer programs. Data manipulation, retrieval, and report creation and submission to Installation Site Manager
  • Attending daily in field white board meetings
  • Working independently with minimum supervision, as needed
  • Recommending technical solutions/resolutions to engineering groups
  • To prepare detailed check sheet on all the work that is done on each machine

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostic instruments and shop/hand tools
  • Working knowledge of Digital Volt Meter and Oscilloscope functionality
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints and diagnose/troubleshoot electro mechanical devices
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player
  • PC skills (MS Office, Excel, Windows)
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Valid Drivers License and ability to obtain all necessary travel document
  • Presentation skills

Education and/or Experience:

Associates degree in related field or other engineering discipline preferred. Technical School or Military Certification is acceptable. Minimum of 0-2 years of technical field service experience in the semiconductor industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from direct manager, customers, and the general public. Excellent oral and written communication skills (English language or language of country employed).

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Excellent judgment, troubleshooting and analytical capabilities. Ability to use standard statistical analysis methodologies. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Travel:

This position requires more than 80% travel including domestic and international. Travel often entails extended periods (+3 Months) at customers facilities. A valid drivers license and good driving record are required.
