We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Model Engineer to join our team at Samsung Electronics America. Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the team, ensuring the development of high-quality machine learning models and solutions.
- Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy large-scale machine learning models to achieve different optimization goals, such as install rate, return on ad spend (ROAS), retention, and more.
- Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest machine learning technologies and trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our existing systems and products.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, research, and product management, to deliver new machine learning features and solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Analyze complex problems, identify gaps, and propose and execute technical solutions to drive business growth.
- Education: Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- Experience: 4+ years of industry experience with a Master's degree or 2+ years of industry experience with a PhD degree.
- Skills: Solid theoretical background in machine learning and/or data mining, proficiency in mainstream ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark ML), and hands-on experience with production-grade machine learning solutions.
- Additional Requirements: Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles, proficiency in SQL and databases, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to drive cross-functional partnerships.
- Publications: Publications in top relevant venues (e.g., TPAMI, NeurIPS, ICML, KDD, WWW, SIGIR, AAAI, IJCAI).
- Industry Experience: Basic knowledge about Amazon Web Services (AWS) and experience with the advertising industry and real-time bidding (RTB) ecosystem.
