PRODUCTION ENGINEER (STARSHIP COMPONENTS)

Are you prepared to join a pioneering team at SpaceX dedicated to advancing human presence beyond Earth? The Starship Components Production team is in search of a skilled Production Engineer to assist in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced flow control devices and mechanisms for the Starship and Super Heavy launch systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop cutting-edge flow control devices and mechanisms for the Starship and Super Heavy
  • Enhance production workflows and introduce targeted automation to expedite manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability of components
  • Perform testing at the component level while upholding high production quality standards
  • Aim for zero defects in workmanship and prepare for upcoming missions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics
  • 1+ years of experience in mechanical design or manufacturing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Experience with fluid and electromechanical systems
  • Understanding of fluid dynamics, mechanics, and electrical circuitry
  • Ability to interpret engineering schematics
  • Familiarity with software development (SQL, Python, C#)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel as necessary
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary ranges from $95,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and more.
