Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our Dietary Services Team at River Vista Behavioral Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients and staff.

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and production sheets
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
• Manage food inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels
• Collaborate with the Dietary Director and Dietitian to develop and implement menu plans
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff, responding to their dietary needs and preferences

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Food Handler Certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience in quantity cooking, with knowledge of modified diets and food service sanitation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care
