This position is responsible for providing support to the obstetrical team in the delivery of high-quality patient care. The Perinatal Support Specialist will assist in the preparation of patients for delivery, perform routine duties, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of patients for delivery, including preparing equipment and supplies.
- Perform routine duties, such as cleaning and disinfecting equipment and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Provide non-clinical support, including management of supply and equipment maintenance.
- Support the mission of AHMC Healthcare by demonstrating behavior consistent with the company's core values.
- Currently licensed to practice vocational nursing in California, or has successfully completed an Operating Room Technician Program, or is a Nursing Assistant with surgical instrumentation experience.
- Previous operating room experience preferred, with demonstrated skills in scrubbing and surgical procedures, aseptic technique, and standard precautions.
- Previous direct patient care experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS-HCP, Current NRP preferred, CORT/CST certificate preferred.
