Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation therapy treatments and simulations in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the radiation oncologist.
  • Assist in treatment planning procedures, including tumor localization and dosimetry.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, radiation oncologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and simulations.
  • Collaborate with the radiation oncology team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest radiation therapy techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in radiation therapy software.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or treatment center environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • ARRT, RT (R), registered or registry eligible, with the ability to become registered within the first year of employment.
  • Current Medical Radiologic Technologist certificate with the Texas Medical Board or in training with a new grad.
  • Maintain current licensure/registration/certification and provide the hospital with a copy of indicated requirements.
  • Maintain current BLS certification.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
