Key Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing both routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging procedures. This role includes:

  • Providing compassionate assistance and positioning for patients.
  • Administering IVs for contrast injections as required.
  • Evaluating image quality and making necessary adjustments.
  • Instructing patients on post-procedure care.
  • Maintaining a sterile environment and cleaning equipment between patients.
  • Adhering to radiation safety protocols.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A degree or certificate from an accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • ARRT MR certification preferred upon hire or eligibility within one year.
  • BCLS certification within 30 days of employment.
  • 2-3 years of MRI experience is preferred.
  • Availability for on-call duties with prompt response capability.
