Job Summary

Lexington Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the Interventional Radiology department. As an Interventional Radiologic Technologist, you will assist in the performance of Interventional Radiologic Procedures, including arteriography, venography, transluminal angioplasty, stents, venous access, percutaneous drainages, biopsies, myelography, and other invasive procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the performance of Interventional Radiologic Procedures
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and radiographic techniques to accurately demonstrate anatomical structures on radiographs
  • Determine exposure factors to achieve optimum radiographic technique with a minimum amount of radiation exposure to the patient
  • Assist the Radiologist in performing invasive procedures, including arteriography, venography, transluminal angioplasty, stents, venous access, percutaneous drainages, biopsies, myelography, and other interventional procedures
  • Operate all Interventional equipment
  • Practice proper sterile techniques in setting up procedural trays and opening supplies for Interventional procedures
  • Assist the radiologists in the use of guidewires and catheters when performing invasive procedures
Requirements
  • Graduate of a 2-year AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (R)
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (VI) in Vascular-Interventional Radiology or registration obtained within two (2) years of transition into position
  • Current South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) current license
