Truck Body Repair Specialist

Laird Noller Auto Group is seeking an experienced Truck Body Repair Specialist to join our team. This role involves performing complex repairs on RVs, requiring strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Damage Assessment: Inspect damaged RVs to identify the extent of repairs needed, including structural damage, exterior panels, and cosmetic issues.
- Panel Removal and Replacement: Remove damaged exterior panels and replace them with new ones, using proper techniques for fiberglass, aluminum, or composite materials.
- Structural Repairs: Straighten bent frames, repair cracked or broken support structures, and reinforce weakened areas.
- Surface Preparation: Grind, sand, and fill imperfections on the RV body to create a smooth surface for painting.
- Painting: Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat paint to repaired areas, ensuring color matching and proper finish.
- Finishing Touches: Install hardware, trim, and other exterior components, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Maintaining Tools and Equipment: Clean and maintain tools, spray guns, and other equipment used in the body shop.
- Technical Skills: Experience with RV body repair techniques, including fiberglass work, welding, and panel alignment.
- Hand Tools Proficiency: Ability to use hand tools like hammers, chisels, wrenches, and power tools effectively.
- Painting Skills: Knowledge of paint application techniques, color matching, and proper finishing procedures.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise repairs and ensure high-quality finishes.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying the root cause of damage and devising effective repair strategies.
