Role Overview
As a Robotics System Integration Engineer, your primary focus will be on deploying Gideon's robotic solutions in client environments while offering both technical and functional assistance. We seek a proactive problem-solver who can instill confidence in our clients. You will collaborate closely with partners, customers, and Gideon’s Engineering and Product teams to ensure the flawless integration of our autonomous mobile robotic systems in logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing settings.
This position requires a willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to various locations.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute the installation and commissioning of mobile robots at client sites, oversee deployments, and troubleshoot issues.
- Manage the integration of robotic systems, encompassing both hardware and software components, to guarantee smooth and efficient operation.
- Diagnose and resolve challenges related to system integration, performance, and functionality.
- Provide both on-site and remote technical support and troubleshooting.
- Configure and implement Gideon's autonomy stack on industrial vehicles and mobile robots.
- Develop tools to facilitate the large-scale deployment of robotic units.
- Install and set up a Linux-based operating system.
- Conduct demonstrations at Gideon's testing facilities and client locations.
- Collaborate with Gideon’s Engineering, Product, and Quality Assurance teams based on client feedback for product testing and troubleshooting.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal engineering teams.
- BSc or MSc in Software Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in robotic system integration or a related field.
- Proficient in Linux OS, Docker, and Git with over 2 years of experience.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or Bash.
- Familiarity with hardware platforms and robot sensors (e.g., cameras, lidars, ultrasonic sensors).
- Ability to convey complex technical information and effectively report issues.
- Willingness to travel across the USA.
- A valid driver's license and passport.
- Interest in understanding the various components of our robotic systems, including navigation, localization, and computer vision.
