Construction Technology Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Technology Specialist to join our team at the Walbec Group. As a key member of our construction technology team, you will work closely with our Construction Technology Manager to support and further our investment in machine control work.

Responsibilities:

  • Install machine control models into equipment for field use.
  • Support field operations through on-site QC checks and training new personnel in the use of the equipment.
  • Troubleshoot grade control equipment.
  • Work with outside vendors for 3D machine control model building.
  • Work to build or modify existing 3D models as necessary using Carlson software.
  • Some survey layout for construction.
  • GPS equipment selection, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Topcon equipment experience preferred.
  • Support our drone survey operations.

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Technology or Construction Management or relevant on-the-job experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others to convey information.
