POSITION SUMMARY

As the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the production shift dedicated to the creation of coatings and related materials.

Today, we continue to embody that same drive for problem-solving and innovation, producing some of the most advanced and durable products in the protective coatings industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and maintain quality benchmarks.
  • Guide and support team members within the Production Department.
  • Manage employee documentation, including attendance, payroll, and performance evaluations.
  • Comply with company policies and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including ISO standards.
  • Guarantee that all production activities align with established procedures and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of production processes to ensure quality compliance.
  • Document and facilitate training for all team members on new protocols and equipment, ensuring ongoing education on updated processes.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and technical staff to address equipment issues and safety concerns across all departments.
  • Oversee cleanliness and organization of the work area, addressing safety and compliance issues as they arise.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding production outcomes, challenges, and operational concerns.
  • Ensure effective shift transitions and address any issues through appropriate channels.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is highly preferred or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within the chemical or coatings sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce.
  • Experience in training and coordinating teams to achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, with a working knowledge of MS Office; experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate well with various teams.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards, including BRI, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations.
