Position Overview
Specialization:
Interventional Cardiology
Role Summary:
HCA - Central & West Texas is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to enhance our cardiology services in the Central Texas region. This role will be based in our Cedar Park and Leander facilities.Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Experience collaborating with an interventional cardiologist
- Preferred background in cardiology
- Weekend call responsibilities: 12 weekends annually
- Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
- Primarily office-based with occasional hospital rounds
- Future opportunities for hospital coverage in Leander
- Current licensure in Texas
- Responsibilities include obtaining patient histories, conducting examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, formulating treatment plans, monitoring therapeutic effectiveness, and providing patient education under the supervision of the cardiologist
- Strong proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and excellent organizational and communication skills are essential
