Respiratory Therapist

Cogdell Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.

• Plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans for patients with various respiratory conditions.
• Perform diagnostic procedures, such as arterial puncture, electrocardiogram, blood gas analysis, and pulmonary function tests.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and protocols.
• Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators, EKG machines, and stress treadmills.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare staff on respiratory care and disease management.

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Texas.
• Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation certification.
• Current ALS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Three or more years of experience in cardiopulmonary services.

The Respiratory Therapist will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare staff. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
