Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and provide periodic evaluations and summaries, developing a comprehensive plan of care.
  • Collaborate in the development and regular updates of the physician's treatment plan.
  • Assist in evaluating patients by applying diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
  • Administer treatments aimed at alleviating pain and/or restoring function to ensure optimal performance.
  • Document and communicate patients' responses to treatment and any changes in their conditions to the physician.
  • Educate families on the complete physical therapy program, including the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.

Qualifications:

  • Essential Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, customer focus, interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, time management, results-driven attitude, compassion, integrity, and organizational agility.

Education and Experience:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist in the state of Texas.
  • Preferred:
    • One year of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as necessary.
  • Fine motor skills for using tools and equipment.
  • Visual and auditory acuity for assessing patients and communicating effectively.
