RISE Program Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a RISE Program Specialist. As a member of our AmeriCorps team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adjudicated youth and contribute to the development of their educational and life skills.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate a skill-based curriculum to adjudicated youth, ages 12-18, focusing on educational skill development.
- Work with youth in a group setting, either in-person or virtually, to facilitate the curriculum and provide individual support as needed.
- Collect and submit data variables relating to school attendance for grant-defined performance measures.
- Attend and participate in AmeriCorps National Service events, specific Nebraska Probation trainings, and other professional development opportunities.
- Minimum Qualifications: 48 hours of college coursework in Social Sciences, Criminal Justice, Education, or related fields, or equivalent related work experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Criminal Justice, Education, or related fields. Ability to speak Spanish is desired but not required.
- Living Stipend: $1,426 monthly for part-time members.
- Segal Education Award: $3,697.50 for part-time members upon successful completion of the term of National Service.
- Health Insurance: Eligible for health insurance at no cost to the member.
- Child-Care Assistance: Eligible for childcare subsidy while participating in national service.
- Student Loan Forbearance and Payment of Interest Accrued on Qualified Student Loans: Eligible to have repayment of qualified student loans postponed while serving.
