Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to work in our Lincolnshire, Illinois location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology and excellent communication skills. As a per diem employee, you will have the flexibility to choose your schedule and work at your own pace.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine the appropriate radiological technique and position for patients using immobilization and support devices.
  • Operate radiology equipment safely and effectively.
  • Position patients, adjust equipment, and secure support devices as needed to perform procedures.
  • Determine the appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient condition to obtain quality films for radiologists.
  • Secure patient history regarding reason for prescribed test.
  • Adhere to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality patient care.
  • Use universal precautions in daily performance of procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with established safety standards to protect patients and staff at all times.
  • Perform clerical duties such as maintaining patient records, daily statistics, answering telephones, scheduling examinations, and giving instructions to patients.
  • Communicate with patients and provide excellent care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • IDNS license.
  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
  • Knowledge of Health Information System.
  • Basic knowledge of radiology equipment.
  • CPR certification.
  • Licensed by IDNS.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registered (ARRT).
Working Conditions:

The Radiologic Technologist will work in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging department, interacting with patients, staff, and radiologists. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision. The working conditions will include exposure to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.
