About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the most appropriate radiological technique and position for patients, utilizing immobilization and support devices as needed.
  • Operate radiology equipment safely and effectively, ensuring the highest quality images for radiologists to interpret.
  • Adhere to all accepted safety standards and practices, prioritizing patient safety and quality care.
  • Coordinate quality control tasks, including inventory management, labeling radiology images, and preparing contrast media.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient department operations.
Requirements
  • IDNS license and graduation from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
  • Knowledge of Health Information Systems and basic radiology equipment operation.
  • CPR certification and licensure by IDNS.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work independently and make professional decisions regarding patient care.
  • High degree of technical skills and ability to function with minimal assistance.
  • Ability to work in stressful conditions and deal with difficult situations.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.
