CARB-X is seeking an expert in the research and development of prevention products to join our team at Boston University. As a Research and Development Director, you will be responsible for managing our portfolio of prevention products, including projects involving vaccines, live biotherapeutics, bacteriophage, and other preventative products. You will lead interdisciplinary drug project leadership in biotech or pharma, with a focus on infectious diseases research and product development from early discovery through initial clinical trials. The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree, 8+ years of experience in infectious diseases research and product development, and 8+ years of experience in interdisciplinary drug project leadership. Strong communication skills, experience in leading/managing a team, and familiarity with compliance aspects of drug discovery and development are highly desirable. Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the prevention portfolio, including projects involving vaccines, live biotherapeutics, bacteriophage, and other preventative products.

* Strong communication skills, experience in leading/managing a team, and familiarity with compliance aspects of drug discovery and development.
