Our focus is on unlocking student learning potential through effective educational methodologies and overseeing all aspects of school design, planning, and program execution. NPFE is dedicated to ensuring that every student in Detroit reaches their highest potential, fostering educational transformation through improved student performance, financial accountability, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
NPFE is looking for Pre-K Lead Educators to deliver engaging and effective instruction in a Pre-K environment. The Lead Educator will design and implement lessons based on our Pre-K curriculum, cultivate strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and ensure that students are well-prepared for their transition to kindergarten in a supportive and secure setting.
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field; OR
- Possess a Michigan Teaching Certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA) endorsement; OR
- Hold a Michigan Teaching Certificate with an Early Childhood & Special Education (ZS) endorsement.
Duties Include:
- Managing a Preschool classroom and developing expertise in Creative Curriculum.
- Creating lesson plans, conducting interactive read-aloud sessions, and providing anecdotal documentation to the Preschool Director.
- Collaborating with the teaching team to implement daily activities aligned with Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold.
- Building positive relationships and maintaining open communication with colleagues and parents.
- Complying with all licensing and GSRP regulations.
- Supporting fellow classroom team members and district personnel as necessary.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
