About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Gardens of Eastbrooke. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional food service to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation, serving, and cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Work closely with the dietician to implement recommended changes and ensure compliance with established dietary policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with inter-departmental personnel and other departments within the facility.
  • Ensure that all food and supplies are readily available for the next meal and assist in inventorying and storing incoming items.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and treat all residents, families, and visitors with respect and dignity.
Requirements
  • Must possess a minimum of a 12th-grade education or equivalent.
  • No experience required, with on-the-job training provided.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and visitors.
Working Conditions

The Dietary Aide will work in a well-lighted and ventilated area, with frequent movement throughout the workday. The atmosphere may be warm for cooking, and the individual may be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, and visitors.

Physical and Sensory Requirements
  • Must be able to move frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
