About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Dishwasher to join our team at Canteen. As a Dishwasher, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dishroom areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
  • Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures and ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth.
  • Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures and maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
  • Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
  • Remove trash and place it in designated containers and steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Help load and unload supplies and product.
Requirements

Previous dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required. You must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
