Athletic Trainer

The Summit School is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage an effective athletic training program for all sports.
- Provide first aid, injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes; refer to physicians as necessary.
- Offer coverage at home athletic events and practices from the fall through the spring sports seasons.
- Coordinate annual athletic physicals, concussion testing, and supervise the clearance of injured athletes.
- Collaborate with coaches to implement sport-specific conditioning programs.
- Maintain a well-organized and efficient athletic training room and manage inventory, supplies, and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, coaches, and administration regarding athlete care and treatment.
- Maintain injury reports, daily treatment logs, and ensure all records are up-to-date.
- Assist in selecting and fitting protective equipment and monitoring environmental risks.
- Share current professional literature with coaching staff to enhance athlete care.
- Demonstrated experience and aptitude for coaching, with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain discipline and positive relationships within the team, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and a love for the sport.
- Commitment to fostering lifelong learning and personal growth in each student-athlete.
