UF Health is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of patient care equipment, surgical instruments, and medical supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform effective and efficient decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and reprocessing of patient care equipment, surgical instruments, and medical supplies.
• Maintain accurate sterilization documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work under the supervision of a manager, supervisor, or lead worker to utilize knowledge and skills to work independently in all job functions.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Central Service Certification (CBSPD or CRCST) or Surgical Technology Certification (CST) within 1 year of hire or transfer into the position.
• One or more years of Central Service Certification (CBSPD or CRCST) or Surgical Technology Certification (CST) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of Sterile Processing or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work under pressure and possess manual dexterity, computer skills, and effective oral and written communication skills.
